| Dear Friends, Not much going on this week. However, if you have not already weighed in on these bills you can still do so before the committees vote by emailing the whole committee. We’ve listed the bills and all the emails for the committees on our BILL WATCH PAGE (Click here) Included: CACR 16 – This bill is CRUCIAL to towns retaining local control. Imagine how your property values would plummet if suddenly, your had no choice but to see your single family neighborhood started sprouting apartment buildings? Some would love to see this and see it as their mission to destroy all SF neighborhoods, HOAs, etc that people CHOOSE to live in. Taking away CHOICE is not freedom. HB 1291, HB 1399 and SB 538 – These three bills are also a direct attack on single family neighborhoods. HB 1602 – This bill would give more power to the Housing Appeals Board, a state board of appointees that already sides with developers on the above issues, 99% of the time.
