Week of March 25th, 2024 Thursday, March 28st, N.H. House SESSION SUPPORT OTP – HB1280 This bill defines informed consent and patients’ rights in the context of a doctor patient relationship. This bill codifies minimum best practices in the delivery of health care, and serves as a necessary stopgap against the increasingly perfunctory execution of medical services driven by the growing administrative infrastructure around healthcare. Find your representative HERE  I also wanted to update you on the status of bills we have recently asked you to take action on. Bad News HB1664: This bill would have allowed children who were mutilated/harmed by gender “treatments” to have a legal cause of action against their medical providers. The bill failed by 17 votes on the floor. ALL Democrats and 8 Republicans voted to protect the financial interests of the medical establishment over justice for those who have been harmed. HB1002: I don’t understand why people feel this bill is so necessary. I’ve really tried to figure it out, but I can’t. But the majority of the House agreed once again to pass these limitations to the Right to Know law. It heads to the Senate. Good News HB1365: This bill allows for biosimilars substitutions and it has passed committee unanimously. Thank you to everyone who helped pressure this committee when the bill looked like it was headed to a study. SB417: We got the attention of the Senators and while the bill has passed the Senate, it was sent back to second committee so that the language I was concerned about last week will be fixed. Towards Liberty, Melissa Blasek Executive Director, Rebuild NH  |
