Cornerstone Legislative Update Week of December 2, 2023 ![]() Executive Council Rejects Contracts with Abortion Providers On Wednesday, November 29, the New Hampshire Executive Council voted against the approval of several contracts for the New Hampshire Family Planning Program. These contracts, if approved, would have provided taxpayer monies to facilities that commit surgical abortion, including Planned Parenthood. This is the fifth time the Council has denied such contracts. We thank those of you who invested the time and effort to encourage the councilors to vote for life and the conscience of taxpayers. We applaud the 4 of the 5 councilors who voted to reject the contracts, and stood firm against the pro-abortion lobby in upholding New Hampshire law. We urge you to thank them for their vote. They are: District 1: Councilor Joe Kenney (R) Joseph.D.Kenney@nh.gov (603)-271-3632 District 3: Councilor Janet Stevens (R) Janet.L.Stevens@nh.gov (603)-436-1645 District 4: Councilor Ted Gatsas (R) Ted.Gatsas@nh.gov (603)-623-0211 District 5: Councilor Dave Wheeler (R) David.K.Wheeler@nh.gov (603)-627-6062 Councilor Cinde Warmington (D) was the only executive councilor to vote in favor of these contracts, supporting the approval of public monies to go directly to abortions providers. As an added note, Councilor Warmington is running for Governor in 2024. THANK YOUR EXECUTIVE COUNCILOR |
