McGrath: Every Vote Counts!
Linda McGrath wins Hampton/Seabrook Dist. 40 State Rep. race by one vote.

Everyone has heard the phrase “Every Vote Counts,” but many people simply do not believe it. But the recent primary election between Richard Sawyer and Linda McGrath proved that it is true.
The election results for Hampton/Seabrook Dist. 40 had McGrath winning Seabrook and Sawyer winning Hampton with a final tally of 1340 votes to 1338 votes with Linda McGrath the winner.
The following week a recount was held at the Archives building in Concord, the only recount in the state, and although the result stayed the same, the final vote was 1340 to 1339.
ONE VOTE DECIDED THE WINNER!
