HAMPTON — Two familiar faces will challenge Selectwoman Amy Hansen in the March 11 town election. Former selectwoman Regina Barnes and former selectman Brian Warburton have both filed to run against Hansen as she seeks re-election to a three-year seat on the board.
Hansen is seeking a second term, having first been elected in 2022, ousting Barnes from her seat.
Barnes, who has also run for state Senate as a Republican, said she is hoping to return to the board to help Hampton preserve its single-family home neighborhoods while keeping property taxes down.
“I’m against building for any additional town offices or buildings until we start reining in this spending,” Barnes said.
