BILL HEARINGS AND FLOOR VOTES
FOR THE WEEK OF MARCH 3

The week of March 3 there will be many bills coming up for hearings, especially regarding HOUSING.  They have fast-tracked HB 399 to go to a hearing in Senate Commerce, so be sure to use the correct portal to OPPOSE it. This bill will establish yet another stacked ‘study’ committee to recommend all zoning be determined by the STATE. There is a similar bill, HB 471, that sets up yet another “commission”!

– Bills that have an upcoming public hearing date listed on the HEARING PAGE: ***Use the PORTAL for the House or Senate.

– Bills that have HAD the public hearing but are still in committee waiting for a recommendation: ***Email the whole committee.

– Bills that have had  a committee vote and will go before the full body eventually and/or with floor date indicated: ***Email the full body or the targeted 68.

We  just posted the list of Reps who were among the 68 who voted wrongly on HB 1291 last year. 49 were re-elected and two moved on to the Senate. These would be preferable to target. Remind them how these bills are chipping away at local control and shifting the tax burden onto the single-family homeowners.
