Please share this issue with your friends of all political stripes as the Housing issue is non-partisan. We work with people from both parties who are interested in stopping the state’s interference in local control of zoning.

CONTINUE TO CONTACT THE GOVERNOR AND ASK HER TO VETO HB577. Remind her of how many have signed.

Accessory Dwelling Units (HB 577): This bill is on the way to the governor’s desk and would increase the size of ADUs and allow them to be detached from the residential dwelling on the property. Basically this would eradicate any single-family zoning that currently exists.

June 19 in WINDHAM – AFP-NH has teamed up with the NH Home Builders Association and are pushing to meddle with local zoning. The event, which includes a free dinner, is being held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at 22 Haverhill Rd. #111. RSVP to afpnh.net/windhamhousing

JUNE 26 in BEDFORD – “Town Government 101” will be held at NH Housing, 32 Constitution Drive in Bedford (east entrance) The people running this forum said “This meeting is simply about understanding town government and how to get involved. We are not taking a position on local control of zoning or not.” They will likely discuss how housing is approved and the workings of town meetings. They also have said on their ad that they will examine the ‘role and  impact of proposed ADU legislation’.
